Nicor Home Services Donates Four Furnaces to DuPage Habitat for Humanity

Naperville, IL – Nicor Home Services has donated four high efficiency furnaces to DuPage Habitat for Humanity. These furnaces will support the Habitat’s Pioneer Prairie neighborhood in West Chicago, which is scheduled for completion next year. The donation by Nicor Home Services will help DuPage Habitat for Humanity reduce their construction costs, further assisting the organization with providing affordable residential homes, as well as provide energy savings for the residents.
High efficiency furnaces save on energy costs year after year

“We appreciate this generous donation from Nicor Home Services,” said Sarah Brachle, Executive Director, DuPage Habitat for Humanity. Both financial contributions and in-kind gifts help the Habitat achieve its nationwide goal of providing affordable housing to limited income families.”

Earlier this year, Nicor Home Services helped DuPage Habitat for Humanity refurbish a home in Glendale Heights. A team of nine employees volunteered their time to prime and paint walls and ceilings, repair soffits, landscape the lawn, and reinforce the home’s garage. “It’s all part of our company-wide objective to build a better community,” emphasized Dykstra.
